We enhanced Vexels' design capabilities by developing sophisticated tools that allow users to create custom t-shirts and company logos with ease. By focusing on user-friendly interfaces and powerful features, improved the overall design experience and drove user engagement.

Our Client

Vexels is a leading graphic design platform offering over 70,000 ready-made graphic resources.

Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Uruguay, they deliver design solutions to creators and companies of all sizes worldwide, providing powerful online design tools. Their team includes talented artists, developers, and marketing experts.

Our collaboration began with maintenance work on their main site in 2018. Since then, our partnership has grown to include developing custom tools that support Vexels' ongoing growth and success.

The Challenge: Building Intuitive Design Tools

Vexels faced two key challenges: developing a user-friendly T-Shirt Maker and expanding its success into a Logo Maker for businesses.

1. Creating the T-Shirt Maker

Vexels aimed to develop an intuitive tool that made custom t-shirt designs accessible to all users. The challenge was to incorporate advanced features such as:

A wide selection of fonts and styles.
Layer management for design flexibility.
Undo and redo functionality.
Grouping and ungrouping of design elements.
Seamless integration of user-uploaded images.
Real-time previews and downloads in print-ready formats.
A robust search function within Vexels' extensive design catalog.

2. Expanding to the Logo Maker

Building on the success of the T-Shirt Maker, Vexels sought to create a Logo Maker tailored for businesses. This involved retaining the intuitive design experience while introducing new capabilities, such as:

Customizing design options through a logo creation wizard based on the company name and industry.
Enhancing consistency across the T-Shirt Maker and Logo Maker by leveraging the same modular codebase.
Simplifying updates and feature integration, improving usability and efficiency in both tools.

Our Solution: Modular, Scalable, and Future-Proof

We began by developing an MVP for the T-Shirt Maker, releasing it to a group of alpha users. The positive feedback enabled us to transition the MVP into a full-fledged product, live since 2019.

Next, we expanded our efforts to the Logo Maker. By leveraging the existing modular codebase, we seamlessly integrated new features and adapted to the updated design style with minimal changes to the original code.

This approach boosted faster development, reduced costs, and laid the groundwork for future expansions into other design tools.

Results: A Strong Partnership and Two New Powerful Tools

The project evolved from a proof of concept to a fully realized product suite. The modular codebase enabled rapid development of the Logo Maker, significantly cutting costs and time.

Today, both the T-Shirt Maker and Logo Maker operate on a unified codebase, delivering:
